Got Smooch?

It's still cloudy today! We have had wicked weather 98 and sticky, with afternoon storms again today. My card is 5 1/2 by 5 1/2 and that might not translate since I have the white paper behind it. Anyway...got SMOOCH? Sometimes a product grabs my attention and I decide to buy one item to check it out. Smooch comes in a bottle that reminds you of nail polish, but don't let that fool you. The fine tip of the brush makes it perfect for small spaces. No globs, drips, or spills. I started out with a pearl white and used it on my flowers so it will hopefully show up better. Now that I've taken a test drive on this, many more colors will be added to my collection.
This has a pearlized cast to it and if you click on it, you can see for yourself. LOL These will look so cute next to my dew drop bottles. Have a great day!
Stamps - Tropical Anya (bought from hopestampseternal)
Ink - Brilliance and Copics

Just Magnolia Paper Piecing

Happy Saturday!!! Whew - I was wiped out last night, but not too tired to work on my Just Magnolia challenge! This week it is paper piecing and I decided to pull out a Tilda that isn't used that much (until now). I picked up this paper at a new LSS and unfortunately there is no company on it. It's super cute though, so I might have to go back and pick up a few more pieces.

Goth Gorjuss Girl

This GG with her little skeleton hair clip looks like she has a tiny attitude. So after picking out my SU Rockabilly paper (CUTE paper) I sat and colored her while watching Seinfeld. LOL So the sentiment stamp seemed to work. Yada, yada, yada...blah, blah, blah. Tried to make her tights match the pp. Have a great day!

Sweet Summer

The WOJ summer kit has got to be my favorite so far. So many papers on the market now have fruit themes. I asked my LOSTie sis Tammi if she could pick up some paper for me because it's not available near me. She sent me several pieces of this K & Co. paper - so CUTE! Thanks Tammi I love the bright colors.

Rainy Days and Mondays

I just had to use that title! One of the things that brings me the most enjoyment from card making is bringing a smile to someone's face. For over 3 yrs., I had a card ministry that brought me a lot of joy and hopefully the recipients. I'm at a new church and was looking for a new direction, purpose, mission and it was right in front of me the entire time. Caterina is one of my sisters on SCS and she makes cards for children with cancer. This past week I've talked with her about joining her cause and she was so sweet and gave me lots of ideas. This is my first card. Now I'll admit, a few tears were shed when it hit me that this is going to a child battling a horrible disease, but my hope is that they will smile when seeing this card.

CIC9

Just a really simple card today. This is going to a child, so I didn't want to put a lot of embellishments on it. Also for the CIC9 - the colors are not the same, but the theme is tropical. I was so lucky to find the Changito clear stamp at HL on clearance for $4 and some change. There are several of images with the set so I just had to have it - I mean, c'mon $4 for this stamp alone is worth it. Happy Hump Day!

Hanglar

This is a Hanglar stamp. My love for them is shared with another LOSTie sis (Hi Tammi)! There is just something about their little faces that draws me in. Image is cut out. Went and bought a better pair of cutting scissors for detail work, and this time much less stress! LOL On a lot of my cards, I leave a space to add a sentiment later, depending on the situation.
Happy Tuesday!

Masking

Masking is something that I used to do a lot, then for some unknown reason stopped. My serious addiction to Magnolias has put an end to that. I just love all the scenes that so many talented stampers have put together. This is a simple attempt, but these 2 stamps work so well together. Also practiced again on my clouds and attempting to create a "hill" to the right with my Copics. Hmmm...a little more practice on that I think. Also, the image panel comes out a little over the traditional card size. Hope your week is off to a great start.
Stamps - Magnolia Tilda and fence - Printworks sentiment
Ink - Brilliance and Copics, chalk ink (clouds)
Paper - PTI and GP White
