Hope

Do you ever find yourself making a card that you really wish you didn't have to make, but you put so much time and love into it? Well today this is my card. My husband's aunt has had a stroke and is in a nursing home. She is someone who has meant so much to me for years. A beautiful family, role model for long lasting marriage, and always helping others.
Not sure if you can read the verse
Do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed,
for I am your God, I will
strengthen you and help you.
That is my hope for her. People can recover from strokes. I watched my own grandmother learn to write, talk, and walk again.
Have a wonderful day and LOTS of spring stamps are arriving at my door, so maybe the weather will cooperate with me - lol So far so good.
Stamps - The Greeting Farm (Miss Anya Collection)
Paper - Memory Box Frond
Ink - Momento and Copics
Misc. - Dew drops, SU ribbon, stickles, nestabilities, MS fence punch, and sponging chalk inks

I'll see you soon Harry!!!

So super excited! I leave in a little over an hour for Nashville to see my favorite singer on this planet, Harry Connick, Jr. SIGH
This will be my 4th time seeing him in concert and it's always so much fun because he really engages the audience, stopping to tell really great stories and have a little time with the audience. I know he will play When the Saints Come Marchin' In for his beloved New Orleans Super Bowl champs!!!

SC268

Today found me home early - woo hoo! Normally I don't try the sketch challenges on SCS, but decided to make it a goal to play at least 1/month if not more. lol
This is a new Pure Innocence stamp. The digi images are abundant in my house, but a few of them are only available as a clear stamp. For the button, no thread, so just cut little slivers of paper and threaded.
I hear that March sneak peaks will begin soon and please please please let there be an Easter set. Can't you just see her in a bunny outfit or with bunny ears.
Stamps - Pure Innocence from My Favorite Things
Paper - SU, PTI and DCWV pp
Ink - Memento and Copics
Misc. - PTI button, Stickles

CIC46

This is for Rachel's cupcake challenge. Pink is not a color that I reach for often, but there is a little story behind this card. LOL I just bought an iPod Touch and the first song downloaded was Geek in the Pink by Jason Mraz (Grammy winner for Male Pop Artist). Last year when my daughter and I were traveling to FL to take our cruise, we were playing her iPod and she would try to trip me up with artists. LOL She laughs that I'm the only 50 something (cough cough) who knows Lady Gaga, Ke$sha, or Lil' Wayne songs. It's a running joke with my kids. Hey I like to stay current, while my husband likes only classic rock. Everytime Tik Tok comes on the radio, the volume is up and my son is sooooooooo embarrassed.
Also with the image instead of having the tummy exposed a little, I decided it's a detail in her dress. It's too cold here for that anyway. We have had 3 snow storms in 3 weeks and another possible this weekend.
Stamps - Chelsea-The Greeting Farm (hopestampseternal)
Paper - Bargain paper from a clearance sale
Ink - Memento and Copics
Misc. - Nestabilities, silver glitter pen, PTI vintage cream ribbon, PTI vintage button, SU Sweet Pea felt flower, and my signature K&Co. heart sticker

Get Well

Sorry for the bad pic! One of the reasons that I love images with balloons is that they can be used for many reasons. Today is a get well for someone that I work with. She had a knee replacement done a week ago. ouch!
I'm plugging right along with the resolution to USE things that just sit and sit. My little Q&Co. letters are almost gone - yeah!
Stamps - Elzybells
Ink - Memento and Prismacolor pens
Paper - Scraps of BG pp
Misc. - Ribbon, nestabilities, Q&Co. letters, stickles

DUDE!!!!!

SPOILER!!! Don't read any further if you didn't see last night's premiere!!!
ACK!!! My title is a famous Hurley term used throughout the series, but whoa it was all about Locke last night. Hurley still has the best lines tho ;).
I was on the edge of my seat last night Sawyer/Juliet, Temple/Sayid, Miles/Juliet, and yes let's get to it................the smoke monster!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now that a little bit has been revealed about that, one has to ? The "visions" Jack had of his father, was that the smoke monster? Who was the smoke monster when Eko was killed? He was not afraid of the monster, so now I'm wondering. This whole made it back/didn't make it back is confusing me. Why wasn't Shannon shown on the plane? There have been a few press releases that some things will be revealed about her brother that will change things, maybe that's one of them.
So what are your thoughts? I'd love to hear them!
