2nd post for Friday

This is going to be a fun stamping weekend. Working on my Valentine's Day cards and since our forecast is SNOW, it will be a perfect time. This is a new Pure Innocence digi image and oh my how I ADORE her. Several others made their way into my cart ;). The heart is completely covered with red Smooch. It reminds me of those beautiful candy boxes out this time of year. Hope you have a great weekend!!!

Day 4 TGF relay

OK so far, so good. When they revealed the digi image for day 4, my first thought was Jack and the Beanstalk (don't ask me why). Tried to find some paper/punches to go with that but with no luck. Then I thought Robin Hood and remembered this super cute paper. I LOVE this little guy, but it's rare to make cards for boys/men.

TGF Day 3

Well today didn't work out exactly the way I was hoping. This is my 2nd attempt at this card, because I tried to get all fancy shmancy on the diaper in the 1st card. BLECH!!!! So here I go.
Now the website is down at TGF again. Will I make to the end? lol
The image is so NOT me. Now I understand how some of my friends feel about Magnolias and Hanglars (which are so me). But it was really good to try something different.
Since my brain cells are dead right now, I went to Card Positioning Systems (#23 I think)

Day 2 digi

This is so much fun!!! This is Day 2 of the digi relay at The Greeting Farm. My work week is light, so the goal is to come home and get the cards done by posting time. Wish me luck because if you miss one day, you're out.
She reminded me of a 70's chick, so I picked some retro paper that a friend sent me. Hope the glittery eyes are showing up!

The Greeting Farm digi relay

ACK!!! Well don't relax too much, because it starts today. Go here to get all the info. Basically you can get free digi images if you FOLLOW THE RULES!!!!
I wanted to keep this super simple. This card will be going to my daughter as a reminder that a year ago we were on our way to the cruise we took. The water in the Bahamas is so stunning, so I went with colors that reminded me of the rich hues. Maybe I'll tuck a little bow in the hair before it goes postal. ;)
Still on my plan to use up things that have been hanging around too long. The letters are from a year ago in the Target $1 from LAST winter. Go me!!! lol

Valentine's Day Love

Do you remember when you sat filling out the school valentines that a "certain" person always had an extra heart sticker or a special card? Well ShyKiki does and she's blushing. There is never a lack of heart papers or embellishments in my house because hearts are my thing! These are cute papers that I picked up on a trip in the fall.
Speaking of all things love - my Valentine's Day gift to myself is seeing Harry Connick, Jr. in February. This will be my 4th HCJ concert and he never fails to impress me. He is truly a gentleman, very charming, and interacts with the audience with wonderful stories about performers. The last show was a hilarious story about George Jones (the country singer).
Have a wonderful weekend!

CIC40

Finally able to upload this picture for Rachel's cupcake inspiration challenge! Now when I first saw her inspiration picture, my first idea was to use a cute Magnolia image of Tilda with a present. After cleaning off my messy table, this adorable new stamp was looking at me, so the colors became my focus for this challenge.

Just Magnolia sketch

Man it feels good to get back to a few challenges. I have a card for Rachel's cupcake challenge, but for some reason the picture isn't loading right. Will save that for tomorrow. Anyway, this is a really cute sketch for the JM challenge blog. One of the things I'm determined to do this year is use as much of my paper as possible. It's terrible how many scraps of cs or pp laying around in my stamp room. This is more of the great Bella Blvd. paper that I used yesterday.
Stamps - Tilda with presents
Paper - SU, Bella Blvd. Dec. pp
Ink - Memento and Copics
Misc. - Nestabilities, HL snowflakes, MS bling, MS letter stickers

First Snow of 2010

Well it's not here yet, but will start late tonight and last all day. Now don't laugh, but most people in the south freak out when snow is announced. They run to the stores and load up on basics, gas, shovels, etc. Every single parking space at the grocery store near me was filled. LOL Thankfully my years of living in Chicago and Green Bay helps me put it all in perspective. So while I will not look as cute as this image, this is my vision of tomorrow in the "blizzard". It's been so long since there was time to stamp, that I forgot these cuties arrived just before Christmas.
